Yes! Attending Reunion

After graduation from PHS worked in attorney's office in Pampa for one year and took night class at Frank Phillips College. As the rest of you celebrated the end of your Freshman year in college, I was off to Liberty Missouri as a freshman to attend William Jewell College. Enjoyed that year at William Jewell and recall it was the year President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas. There were two students on campus from Texas. I was one of them. We hung our heads a little lower than the rest; sad times. My long time friend from Borger was the other Texas girl on campus. It was her family that pulled some strings to let me attend school at Jewell. Texas was calling us, as both of us were a bit home sick after that year out of state. We both returned to Texas and enrolled at West Texas State. After one and half years studying there, I transferred to TCU. Studied religion at TCU and, truthfully, planned to be in children's ministry. In a way that is what I did without the degree from TCU as I had an active home with five children in my first marriage to Jimmy Storms. Was married for eighteen years and divorced and remarried for seventeen years before divorcing my second Pampa High School graduate in 2001, your classmate, David Tripplehorn. Have been an active real estate agent since 1991. With five grandchildren and all of my children living in the Dallas area, life is busy. My parents are both deceased. I enjoy staying in touch with my two sisters and two brothers. My friends share kindness more than I deserve. My life has been very blessed with having healthy and delightful children and now share love with their children and their spouses. They still invite me and welcome me and I take that as a sign of their love and devotion.

School Story:

Beginning my freshman year at Robert E. Lee as a new student in Pampa, many first impressions come to mind. I couldn't believe you, in Pampa, called kissing, "munching", and the word "evers"; I was told meant, "just kidding". Never understood it. Who was the kid I heard ate a June Bug....Dick Batson? All the boys seemed to really give a lot of "looks" and flirted with Diane Snider. There were plenty of great kids in Pampa. Who was this man to avoid named, Bailey? Can you believe the driving age was maybe, fourteen? Linda Meech was a pleasant new friend in algebra class. Beverly Moore was a great neighbor. Remember, Beverly, we hid in the back seat on the floorboard so we could go with your sister on her date? We made it about one revolution of the wheel before we got caught. We had no shame. These are some reflections of my first months in Pampa. It got better and better every day and every year. I loved being a Pampa Harvester, and still do. See you at the reunion.....

Bob: Was great viewing the photos you shared on our PHS Class of '62 site. We have missed you in past reunions and wondered how you were fairing in these years of new horizons, however, can see clearly, you are well and appear to be very happy. Your
granddaughter looks just like you, BTW. Neat!! Enjoy all of your days, including a few
golf games.

Thankful Ginger had such an interesting life and to see that her faith was a great part of what she lived each day.  Ginger was easy to know...always pleasant and had a smile for everyone.  Ginger will be not be forgotten by her classmates at PHS.  Grateful she was in our lives and will live in memory.

Linda: Your life sounds so exciting and would give anything to hear how your life was lived to get to this time of travel and adventure. I live my life through people like you who are fun and original. My life is rather busy in real estate and not so many adventures. Hope you enjoy trip with grandson. You had a birthday in July and I send belated wishes to you. Gosh we are 71 and even though cannot avoid the digits that register the years, do not feel ready to sit and talk too much of it. We just keep going....Stay in touch.

With a sad heart I read this posting of Jerry Fulton's death.  Jerry was such a neat guy.  I remember him always smiling, as soft spoken and pleasant.  What a wonderful story of his life as a family man.  I can just imagine he carried that smile and pleasant demeanor with him all the way to the west coast and from what the obituary conveyed, he was loved and appreciated by all he knew.  Knowing Jerry was just one more reminder of all the blessings from being with the class of '62 at PHS;  will forever be grateful........
